滞空時間 TaikuhJikang's 4th album, Majo released in June last year, is now available on vinyl for the first time in their career!

Since Formed in 2009 by shadow artist /musician Wataru Kawamura-sai, TaikuhJikang has collaborated with numerous artists such as OOIOO, Keigo Oyamada, Haruomi Hosono, and u-zhaan, blending various elements of ethnic music with the concept of "folk songs from a fictional island." Their album Majo, released in June 2021, has been pressed into vinyl format.

Following the concept of "finding hidden gems by purchasing compilation albums from unknown countries at Disk Union," the album features new members such as Yudai Suzuki (Tp), a trumpet player and Japanese language teacher, and Reisaburo Adachi (Sax known for his work with Katakoi and Fuyuni Wakarete, among others). It includes twelve tracks, and the mesmerizing B5 track "カベノムコウニオニガイテ (feat. OORUTAICHI)", a hidden gem penned by Oorutaichi specifically for TaikuhJikang's shadow puppet performance with Wataru Kawamura-sai.
Drawing influences from gamelan and steel pans to hip-hop and Afrobeat, Majo offers a vibrant and eclectic musical journey. The recording was handled by Hayato Ichimura, mastering was done by Sanichi Tanaka, and mixing and design by Kohei-sai Kawamura.

"Two days ago, the meaning of travel changed, and I handed my passport to the front desk. In a room alone, with eyes closed, and hands-free from burdens mimicking wings, I found the wind that was supposed to blow at that time(Jikan”時間”) on that day and then began the suspended time."
