[Description]
KAZZ, who has stirred up a new wave in acoustic music, presents his long-awaited second album.
KAZZ, who creates songs based on themes of nature and life through surfing, performs live across Japan in various locations. Playing acoustic guitar, djembe, kalimba, harmonica, and more all by himself, his guitar sound, played from his unique tuning method, is so rich and vibrant that it's hard to believe it's just one guitar.
His rendition of Bob Marley's classic "Redemption Song" and his piece titled "1212," dubbed "One-Person Trance," deliver a magnificent ensemble of pulsating drum beats and acoustic guitar tones. The recording took place at the studio of Pardon Kimura in Hayama, where the sounds of waves, wind, and rustling trees are captured, creating an atmosphere that can only be born there.
Taking you on a journey to landscapes from Africa, Hawaii, Asia, and beyond, KAZZ is a sound navigator with a gem of an album.
---
The man who brought guitar tunings invented in the deserts of Niger back to Japan, weaving tapestries of sound while living in Shonan.
Songs that seem to come from a town unknown, from a dreamtime that may have been long ago.
The gentle shaman, KAZZ, is always by your side with his guitar.
