The long-awaited new album of Okinawa's legend, Misako Ōshiro!

This latest work, coming after about 10 years, was produced by Kikou Uehara, a remixer and mixer who has been active in a wide range of genres including Yumi Arai, The Blue Hearts, and Denki Groove. With the theme of "Okinawan folk songs that the younger generation can listen to" this album was completed after three years of planning. The work features the participation of prominent figures in the Okinawan music scene who have grown up alongside her and have led the Okinawan folk music world, such as Sadao China (vocals, sanshin, Ryukin), the late Masaru Kadegarami, who was referred to as "the closest to being his successor", and Ryoichi Nago (vocals, sanshin), a leading figure in Okinawan theater who has contributed to its development.

Songs such as "Kunka", "Ayagu-bushi", "Hakuun-bushi", and the Okinawan folk standard "Tinsagu nu Hana", "Oya no Kokoro", which she has been singing for many years, have been recorded not with flashy techniques, but simply and purely. By pursuing the essence of Okinawan folk music, free from the constraints of traditional recording methods, a "contemporary Okinawan folk music" that only Misako Ōshiro can sing has been born a new.
