Rob Grant, a creator of beautiful soundscapes through piano and composition, has unveiled his debut album. Known as the father of the global icon Lana Del Rey, Grant did not receive formal music education and cannot read sheet music. 
However, he has pursued piano and composition through self-study alongside his career. Though his career has been far from the recording industry, his beautiful melodies have garnered high praise. "Setting Sail on a Distant Horizon" the lead single, features a star-studded lineup including Jack Antonoff, Luke Howard, Laura Sisk, and Zack Dooz. Additionally, Lana herself lends her vocals to 2 tracks on the album.

About Setting Sail on a Distant Horizon, Grant commented, "This song is a piano piece I wrote about the happiness and freedom I felt when I set sail from Rose Island, Newport, in my boat 'Erewhon' towards Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard." He describes how the piano starts slowly, mirroring the filling of the sails with wind, as the boat glides over the heavy swells of the Atlantic Ocean, gradually building in intensity. "The piano carries you forward, speeding up as the boat catches more wind, carrying you towards the distant horizon."

Having worked various jobs including copywriter at an advertising agency, restaurant owner, real estate broker, and in the furniture business to support his family, Grant has now arrived at the profession of "artist." His debut album is a testament to his journey, and all eyes are on him to see what he does next!
