In January 2007, her album Uta Umui(The words mean "Songs of Life") released after a decade garnered attention, and her record release commemorative concerts held in Tokyo were sold out for both days, solidifying Misako Ōshiro's unwavering popularity in the Okinawan folk music scene. This release is a DVD capturing the performance of the "Misako Ōshiro 50th Anniversary Recital" held at the Naha Civic Hall on July 8, 2007. Featuring esteemed guests such as Sadao China, known also as the experienced producer of Nēnēs, and rising stars representing the Okinawan folk music scene like Toru Yonaha, the DVD includes both the daytime and evening performances of the concert held twice. This DVD finally realizes the visual documentation of Misako Ōshiro's timeless songs and performances, which will be passed down for eternity.
