Born in 1960, Eric Truffaz, one of the most outstanding trumpeters/musicians of his generation, releases a new album!

This album presents a collection of film music by Truffaz, a world-renowned figure in jazz often compared to Miles Davis. Revisiting some of the great musical works from the golden age of cinema, Truffaz succeeds in blending the music with his unique touch. The result is a new jazz album that reexamines his music with fresh sounds.

Included in this tribute are memorable pieces from films such as Bob le Flambeur starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Federico Fellini's La Strada, “One Silver Dollar” sung by Marilyn Monroe in River of No Return.
 
 Fantômas, The Elevator to the Gallows, the TV series The Persuaders! starring Roger Moore and Tony Curtis, and Good Eveningstarring Yves Montand and Romy Schneider are some of Truffaz sought out these films, recalling memories from his childhood and teenage years spent in dark movie theaters. This album serves as a tribute to the celluloid world illuminated by jazz, paying homage to Nino Rota, John Barry, Ennio Morricone, Miles Davis, Michel Magne, and others who created music for the screen.
