GILI YALO, an Ethiopian-Israeli artist, began writing songs for his album with a strong desire to share the message of not forgetting his roots and where he came from, stemming from his own background. With the collaboration of talented musicians, including Balkan Beat Box, Ben Hendler from Buttering Trio, and the producer of this album, Uri Braunel Kinrot from Boom Pam, his solo journey began.

In this album, Gili Yalo masterfully blends funk, soul, psychedelic, and jazz with traditional Ethiopian music, paying homage to influences like James Brown and Ethiopian music legend Mulatu Astatke.
