Nao Kodama first solo acoustic album, Revelation, is set to be released in limited quantities on vinyl, much to the anticipation of fans!

Nao Kodama, known for her work with the acoustic unit YoLeYoLe and numerous solo releases, is set to release her first solo acoustic album titled "Revelation" on vinyl in limited quantity.

Released on CD and digital platforms in December 2020, the album features duets such as "Setogiwa no Marmalade," which sold out immediately on its 7-inch release under the name Nao Kodama × Kan Sano, and covers well-known songs like "SPARK" in collaboration with Hanaregumi and a self-cover of the live favorite "MAKER." The album also includes new tracks like "Ibuki," written by Nao Kodama herself, and a cover of the timeless song "Tokini Makasete" by Yukiko Kanenobu. The recording and mixing were handled by one of Japan's leading dub masters, Naoyuki Uchida, who has been supporting the sound of Nao Kodama's music since she works mainly for YoLeYoLe.

Regarding the cover of "Tokini Makasete," Yukiko Kanenobu commented,

 "Her voice is lovely. I feel deeply moved, and I think this song is very necessary in today's world. Thank you, Nao Kodama, for the cover."

About Revelation, text by herself
The title "Revelation" was suggested by a friend who helped with the photoshoot for the album jacket. Nao Kodama reflects on the process of writing lyrics for new songs, finding that the words often take on new meaning as she sings them, sometimes realizing their significance after the fact. She contemplates whether this revelation might be what the album's title identifies.

Through playing the guitar and singing, Nao Kodama feels transported to various places around the world, from the streets of Paris to the damp soil of the Amazon. She emphasizes the universal nature of music, even in times when our moves and actions may be restricted. The album is created for listeners like you and me, for the sake of our ordinary freedoms.
