Sachiko Maekawa and Good-Looking Guy deliver exquisite ska arrangements of jazz standards!

This project started in 2012 with Sachiko Maekawa and Shintaro Nakai, former members of Cream Cheese of Sun, and Tetsuro Kai who is the leader of Argyle and has a big influence on West Japan club scenes. Sachiko Maekawa and Good-Looking Guy named their music "cutting-edge Tin Pan Alley-style city pop band" and they gained attention swiftly, notably with their cover of Taeko Onuki's "Tokai", released as a 7-inch single in 2016, which quickly sold out. It's been 6 years since they released their first full album. And now My Romance will be released in August of this year, in a 7-inch on “Record Day.''

Side A includes a ska-arranged cover of the jazz standard masterpiece My Romance, famous for its performances by Bill Evans and Ella Fitzgerald. The swinging piano and horn section are exquisite. 
Side B includes the original song included in the album, the standout piece Dream Inside, which has been updated to 2021 specifications while keeping in mind the tradition of Japanese Latin music reminiscent of Sumiko Sakamoto and Izumi Yukimura.
