[Description]
Indie-pop rising stars, I Saw You Yesterday, have released their digital single on a 7-inch vinyl!
Formed in 2015, this four-member band is based in Tokyo. Their 2020 release, featuring 90s alternative and guitar-pop sounds, has been turned into a magnificent 7-inch vinyl with the tracks "Wander" and "Still New."
I Saw You Yesterday, consisting of Shimoa Hidemasa (Vo, G), Murakami Kai (G, Cho), Suzuki Kazushige (Ba), and Uchijo Yū (Dr), have gained enthusiastic fans overseas. They've performed at Thailand's music festival "POW FEST" and participated in Rhyming Slang's cassette compilation Freshalwayson × Rhyming Slang ('18), which featured 8 artists from Japan and Korea. This vinyl release compiles their consecutive digital single releases from May to June 2020.
The A-side features the indie rock number "Wander," which embraces themes of loneliness, solitude, and estrangement with its sentimental melody and emotional guitar sounds. The music video for "Wander," directed by Tatsuhiko Nakahara, known for his work with cero and Mitsume, has also been a topic of conversation. On the B-side, you'll find "Still New," a dazzling neo-acoustic to guitar-pop track that races along refreshingly. It's the band's poppiest production yet, and a must-listen for all indie fans!
